Premier Wellness Centers Hosts First Ever
"Rock the Walk for Wellness" Event
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – On June 3, Premier Wellness Centers hosted the Inaugural Rock the Walk for Wellness event at Oxbow Eco-Center to encourage health and wellness with a fun twist!
In the weeks leading up to the event, patients and visitors were invited to pick up a complimentary rock at either of the two Premier Wellness Centers location in Port St. Lucie, and return it painted as part of the popular "Port St. Lucie Rocks" movement. Painted rocks can be found all over town and are shared on Facebook to spread cheer and community camaraderie.
The rocks painted for Premier Wellness Centers were delivered to Oxbow Eco Center for the free event on June 3, which included a guided nature walk with wellness tips along the way. Participants searched for specially marked rocks and won a variety of prizes, including free massage, acupuncture and full-body consults at either of the Premier Wellness Centers locations.
"We were inspired by the popular community rocks groups and thought it would be a great way to get community members out at the beautiful parks in the area for light exercise while enjoying the outdoors," said Dr. Christopher Horne, the chiropractor at the Premier Wellness Centers east location at 7043 SE US Highway 1. "Just a little exercise each day goes a long way towards a lifetime of better health, and what better setting than the Oxbow Eco Center!"
The Walk for Wellness also included refreshments and giveaways for every participant, and of course the opportunity to find their very own rock work of art to keep or re-hide around the community.
